Product Capabilities
What Total System Care Does:
For Evaluation Level and Registration Level End-Users:
- Total System Care can be downloaded and installed on a compatible Windows® PC.
- The software can be used, with limited function, for evaluation purposes and without charge to the End-User.
- Total System Care settings can be edited and gives the End-User options to control whether Total System Care runs at PC startup, if Total System Care should display alerts when pressing the close button, the chosen language of the End-User, and an ignore list where End-Users can identify issues that should not be included in search.
- Total System Care can be scheduled by the End-User to complete scans on a one-time basis, every day, every week, or only as desired by the End-User. The End-User can also choose to run scans on specific days of the week on any given time.
- Total System Care software can be easily uninstalled from any Windows® PC.
- Total System Care can communicate data relevant to the day-to-day use of the software on any given End-User’s PC with a secure hosted server. More information regarding data collection can be seen on our data collection policy.
- Total System Care can determine if a license key entered by an End-User valid or invalid by communicating remotely with secure licensing server.
- Total System Care can also relay important information such as expiration of product license for presentation in software, viewable by the End-User in the About Tab.
For Registration Level End-Users:
- Total System Care can backup effected registry entries before proceeding with any changes as a result of using the Fix-All function.
- Total System Care End-Users can adjust the backup and restore settings from within the settings tab in software. End-Users can opt to automatically backup effected registry entries before repairing, prompt to back up before repairing, or not to back up at all (not recommended).
- Total System Care can also restore the most previous self-generated backup to reverse changes made to the system by the last Fix-All function.
- Total System Care can investigate startup entries to identify issues in the programs and services ran during Windows® startup. The End-User can elect to not attempt repair of these items before running the Fix-All function.
- Total System Care can find corrupt or missing program help files, and can attempt to restore functionality of helped services offered by third-party programs. The End-User can elect to not attempt repair of these items before running the Fix-All function.
- Total System Care can find and remove corrupted device drivers. The End-User can elect to not attempt repair of these items before running the Fix-All function.
- Total System Care can identify major missing or invalid registry create keys. The End-User can elect to not attempt repair of these items before running the Fix-All function.
- Total System Care can search for empty and corrupt activeX entries. The End-User can elect to not attempt repair of these items before running the Fix-All function.
- Total System Care can find invalid software paths and missing entries. The End-User can elect to not attempt repair of these items before running the Fix-All function.
- Total System Care can find and remove invalid registry entries from the system. The End-User can elect not to attempt repair of these items before running the Fix-All function.
- Total System Care can find shared DLL files that may be corrupted. The End-User can elect not to attempt repair of these items before running the Fix-All function.
- Total System Care can identify Windows® and program registry issues upon scan. The End-User can elect not to attempt repair of these items before running the Fix-All function.
- Total System Care can identify and attempt to repair fonts that have been corrupted. The End-User can elect not to attempt repair of these items before running the Fix-All function.
- Total System Care can remove missing or invalid items from the MRU (Most Recently Used) items. The End-User can elect not to attempt repair of these items before running the Fix-All function.
- Total System Care can identify and attempt to repair validity issues and corrupted file history start menu. The End-User can elect not to attempt repair of these items before running the Fix-All function.
- Total System Care can identify Junk Files and delete them to free up disk space. The End-User can elect not to attempt repair of these items before running the Fix-All function.
What Total System Care Doesn’t Do:
Please note that unless specifically noted above, Total System Care does not provide any additional functionality to the End-User. Items listed below are shown for informational purposes only and does not imply services listed are a conclusive summary of functions void from Total System Care software.
- Total System Care does not detect viruses, malware, spyware, Trojans, worms or other material security threats to the end End-User’s PC.
- Total System Care does not defragment the system’s hard drive, nor will it defragment any drives connected to the computer.
- Total System Care does not open unknown files.
- Total System Care is not intended to diagnose hardware faults or other hardware issues on the End-User computer system, nor does it have the capability to repair any hardware related issues.
- Total System Care cannot and will not identify out of date or missing device drivers on your computer.
- Total System Care cannot be installed on any mobile devices, tablets, Linux or Apple based operating systems. Accordingly, total system to your cannot offer optimization to devices that are not based on the Microsoft Windows® platform.
Advertising of Product Capabilities
SafeBytes Software Inc. believes in responsible advertising practices. In some cases, we allow partners (affiliates) to promote Total System Care software. Such partners have been pre-screened and determined to be acting in good faith. SafeBytes Software Inc. performs random audits on partner websites and advertisements to ensure they remain compliant by national and international law, as well as to ensure they are properly representing the capabilities of Total System Care software.Any End-User or potential End-User of Total System Care software is urged to report instances of product misrepresentation to the SafeBytes Software Inc. Compliance Department. SafeBytes Software Inc. has strict advertising policies for all partners; any partner found to be misrepresenting the capabilities of Total System Care will be either temporarily suspended or completely banned from participation in our affiliate network.
